Cash, checks and refunds

Paying your dues in person by cash or check, and how refunds are handled by your krewe.

Not every payment happens online. Your krewe can take cash or checks in person, and it handles any refunds itself.

Paying by cash or check

If you’d rather not pay by card, or your krewe doesn’t take payments online, pay the krewe directly in whatever way it asks. You can still register online first. Once you reach the payment step your registration is recorded, so you can stop there and pay the krewe in person instead. If online payment isn’t set up, the payment step’s button says Continue and your registration is recorded without a payment.

When the krewe receives your payment, an officer records it on your account. Then:

  • it shows on the Dues tab of My Account as a Payment,
  • you get a Payment received email showing the method (Cash or Check) and any check number, and
  • if it brings you up to the amount needed, your membership becomes active.

Until it’s recorded, your account still shows the money as owing and your status may say Awaiting payment. That’s normal. If it’s been a while since you paid, contact your krewe from the Support tab on My Account.

Keep your own record of cash and check payments (a photo of the check or a note of the date and who you paid) until you see the payment on your Dues tab.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by your krewe, not on the site. You can’t request or issue one yourself from My Account. To ask for one, use the Support tab on My Account or contact a krewe officer. Your krewe’s own rules decide whether dues can be refunded.

If the krewe refunds a card payment, the money goes back to the card you paid with. Your bank may take several days to show it.

On your Dues tab a refund appears as a charge called Refund issued. Because the money went back to you, it adds that amount back to your balance. A refund doesn’t change your membership on its own. If the krewe also means to cancel what you owe, it adjusts your account separately. If your balance looks wrong after a refund, ask your krewe.
