I’m not getting emails

What to check when confirmation, password, receipt or krewe emails don't arrive: spam folders, the sender, unsubscribing and blocked addresses.

Your krewe’s site sends two kinds of email:

  • Account emails: sign-up confirmations, password resets, payment receipts, registration confirmations, waiting-list invites, order and pickup notices, event tickets.
  • Krewe emails: announcements from the krewe and messages from your lieutenant.

If something isn’t arriving, work through these checks.

1. Check spam, junk and other tabs

Look in your spam or junk folder, and in tabs such as Promotions or Updates if your email has them. If you find the email there, mark it as not spam. That helps future emails reach your inbox.

2. Know who it’s from

Emails show your krewe’s name as the sender. Krewe announcements show the person who wrote them, for example [name] via [your krewe]. The address they’re sent from may not look like your krewe’s usual email address. Replying still reaches your krewe. Search your mailbox for your krewe’s name, and add the sender to your contacts once you find one.

3. Check the address the krewe has for you

Go to My Account and open the Contact info tab. The Email shown there is where everything is sent. If it’s wrong or out of date, see My name or email is wrong.

4. Give it a few minutes, then ask again

Most emails arrive within a minute or two. For a password reset, request a new link and use only the newest one. Don’t request lots at once: after several requests in an hour the site says Too many reset requests. Wait a while and try again.

Not getting krewe announcements? You may have unsubscribed

Krewe emails have an Unsubscribe from krewe emails link at the bottom. If you (or someone with access to your inbox) used it, you won’t get announcements or messages from your lieutenant. Account emails, like receipts and pickup notices, still come.

To turn krewe emails back on:

  1. Sign in and go to My Account.
  2. Open the Contact info tab and find Email preferences.
  3. Tick Send me krewe emails (announcements and messages from my lieutenant).
  4. Select Save preferences.

This is the only way back in. Your krewe can see that you’re unsubscribed but can’t resubscribe you.

Not getting anything at all? Your address may be blocked

If emails to your address bounce back as undeliverable, or if you’ve marked an email from the krewe’s site as spam, the system stops sending to that address to protect delivery for everyone. While it’s blocked you won’t get any emails from the site, including password resets and receipts.

You can’t clear this yourself. Fix the cause first (a full mailbox, a closed account, or a filter that rejects the emails), then ask your krewe to clear the block. They can see that your address is blocked and mark it fixed. If your old address no longer works at all, ask them to change it instead.

Signing in still works while your email is blocked, so you can reach the Support tab on My Account to send the krewe a message. See Who to contact.

The krewe may have turned some emails off

Your krewe can switch off some account emails, such as payment receipts or the registration confirmation. If one particular kind of email never comes but others do, that may be why. Your My Account page is always the up-to-date record of your payments, orders and tickets.
