Pay your dues online
Pay by card when you register: paying in full or the minimum, the partial payment fee, and the balance due date.
If your krewe takes payments online, you pay your dues by card at the end of registration. The card payment is handled by Stripe, a payment company, on its own secure page. Your card details go to Stripe, not to your krewe’s site.
Make your payment
- Reach the Payment step of registration. See Register for the season.
- Check the summary: Dues, Paid so far (if you’ve paid anything) and Balance.
- In Amount to pay today ($), leave the full balance or, if your krewe allows it, enter a smaller amount (see below).
- Select Pay securely with Stripe. You’ll see Taking you to our secure payment page…
- On Stripe’s page, enter your card details and pay.
- Stripe sends you back to your krewe’s site, which says Thank you! Confirming your payment… and then shows that you’re registered.
If you change your mind on Stripe’s page, use its back link. You return to the payment step with Payment cancelled — nothing was charged. You can try again whenever you’re ready.
Paying in full or paying part now
Your krewe decides how much you must pay when you register. Some ask for everything up front. Others ask for a minimum (a percentage of your dues) to save your spot, and let you pay the rest later.
- Full payment only: the amount box is filled in with your full balance and can’t be changed.
- A minimum is allowed: the page says Pay at least $X now to save your spot, and the help under the box says Between $X and $Y, or the full $Z. You can pay any amount in that range, or the full balance.
A part payment must leave at least $1.00 owing. If the amount you enter would leave less, you’ll see That would leave less than $1.00 owing. Pay a little less, or pay the full balance. If you enter less than the minimum, the page tells you The least you can pay today is $X.
The partial payment fee
Some krewes add a small fee when you pay only part of your dues. If yours does, the payment step says Paying less than your full balance today adds a $X partial payment fee. When you enter a partial amount, a line shows the fee and your Total today.
- The fee is only added to your first payment, and only if that payment is less than your full balance.
- Paying in full never costs extra.
- Later payments toward your balance never add another fee.
The fee shows on your Dues tab as its own Partial payment fee line, with a matching payment. It doesn’t count toward your dues.
The balance due date
If you pay part now, your krewe may set a date the rest is due by. The payment step says the rest is due by [date], and My Account shows it next to your balance. Your krewe decides what happens if a balance isn’t paid by then, so check with them if you need more time.
To pay the rest, see Pay the rest of your balance.
Very small balances
Card payments under $0.50 aren’t possible. If your balance is that small, the page says Balances under $0.50 cannot be paid online. Please contact the krewe to settle it.
If online payment isn’t available
If your krewe doesn’t take card payments online, the payment step’s button says Continue. Your registration is recorded and the krewe will contact you to collect your payment. See Cash, checks and refunds.
If the page says We could not reach our payment processor. Please try again in a few minutes., nothing was charged. Try again a little later.
