The waiting list
Join the waiting list when the season is full, leave it, and register when your krewe invites you before the invite expires.
Your krewe can cap how many people register in a season. Once it’s full, you can put your name on a waiting list. If a spot opens up, the krewe can invite you, and the invite lets you register even though the season is full.
The krewe decides who to invite and when. Nobody is invited automatically, and the list doesn’t move on its own.
Join the waiting list
You need to be signed in. If you don’t have an account yet, create one first (see Getting started).
- Go to
/register/on your krewe’s site. When the season is full you’ll see This season is full. Join the waiting list and the krewe can invite you if a spot opens. - If you like, add a note under Anything the krewe should know? (up to 500 characters). For example, that you rode in an earlier year, or who you’d like to ride with.
- Select Join the waiting list. You’ll see You’re on the list.
You’ll also get an email confirming it. By default its subject is You’re on the [your krewe] waiting list.
If the season fills up while you’re filling in your details, the page switches to the waiting list for you. The last spot went while you were typing.
Check where you stand
Go back to /register/ at any time. While you’re waiting it says You’re on the waiting list for [year] (joined [date]). Your place in line is set by when you joined.
Leave the waiting list
- Go to
/register/. - Select Leave the list.
- Confirm. You’ll see You’ve left the waiting list.
Leaving gives up your place. If you join again later, you go to the back of the line.
When you’re invited
If the krewe invites you, you get an email. By default its subject is You’re invited to register with [your krewe]. It has a link to the registration page and says when the invite runs out.
- Open the link and sign in with the same account you used to join the waiting list. The invite belongs to that account and won’t work for anyone else.
- The registration page says You’ve been invited — register by [date].
- Register as normal: your details, the agreement if there is one, and payment. See Register for the season.
An invite lets you register even though the season is full, and even if the registration period has closed. It doesn’t change anything else: your member type still needs to be open for registration, and you still pay the same dues.
If your invite expires
Invites last a set number of days, chosen by your krewe (a week unless your krewe changed it). Register before the date in the email. If you don’t, the invite expires and the registration page says Your invite expired. You’re still on the waiting list. You keep your original place in line, but you’ll need a new invite from the krewe to register. If you missed it, contact your krewe from the Support tab on My Account.
The krewe can also take back an invite before it expires. If that happens you’re simply back to waiting, in the same place.
If the season is full and there’s no waiting list option
If the page only says Registration for this season is full. Please contact the krewe., the waiting list isn’t available to you. Contact your krewe if you have questions.
