When your membership becomes active

What makes your membership active for the season, what spot saved means, and how to check your status on My Account.

Registering and paying are two separate things. Your membership for the season becomes active once you’ve finished registering and paid at least the amount your krewe asks for up front.

What turns your membership on

  • If your krewe asks for full payment: your membership becomes active when your dues are paid in full.
  • If your krewe allows a minimum payment: it becomes active as soon as you’ve paid at least that minimum. You’re a full member right away; the rest stays on your account as a balance to pay by the due date.
  • If your dues are free: it becomes active as soon as you finish registering.

It doesn’t matter how you pay. A card payment online and a cash or check payment your krewe records both count. Your membership turns on as soon as the payment that reaches the minimum is recorded.

When it becomes active you get an email. By default its subject is You’re registered for [year]!

Check your status

Go to My Account and open the Membership tab. Under Membership this season you’ll see Status, Active or Inactive, and one of these:

What you seeWhat it means
Registered — paidYou’re registered and your dues are paid in full. You’re all set.
Registered — spot savedYou’re registered and active, and you still owe a balance. The line below shows how much and the due date.
Awaiting paymentYour registration is recorded, but you haven’t yet paid the amount needed to activate it. See Pay the rest of your balance, or, if you paid by cash or check, wait for the krewe to record it.
Registration not finishedYou started registering but stopped before the end. Select Finish registering.
Not registered for [year]You haven’t registered this season. If registration is open, select Register for [year].
No season openThe krewe hasn’t opened a season yet.

The same tab shows your Member type and the Season.

Just paid and it still says Awaiting payment?

An online card payment usually shows within a minute. Reload the page. If it still hasn’t changed after a few minutes, see Troubleshooting. Don’t pay again until you’ve checked.
