Email preferences

Stop krewe announcements and lieutenant messages, which emails you'll still get, and how to turn krewe emails back on.

Your krewe sends two kinds of email:

  • Krewe emails: announcements from the krewe and messages from your lieutenant. You can turn these off.
  • Account emails: receipts, pickup notices, ticket confirmations, password resets and other emails about your own account and orders. These always come, even if you’ve turned krewe emails off, because they’re about things you’ve done or need to act on.

Stop krewe emails

There are two ways.

From any krewe email

  1. At the bottom of an announcement or lieutenant message, click Unsubscribe from krewe emails.
  2. A page asks “Stop krewe emails from” followed by your krewe’s name. Click Unsubscribe. You don’t need to log in.

You’ll see “You’re unsubscribed” with a reminder that receipts, pickup notices and other account emails still come. Many email apps also show their own unsubscribe button at the top of the message; that does the same thing.

Just opening the unsubscribe link doesn’t change anything. You’re only unsubscribed after you click the Unsubscribe button.

From My Account

  1. Open My Account and click the Contact info tab.
  2. Under Email preferences, untick Send me krewe emails (announcements and messages from my lieutenant).
  3. Click Save preferences.

Turn krewe emails back on

The only way back onto the list is from My Account. The krewe can’t resubscribe you, so if you’ve missed something, this is the place to fix it.

  1. Open My Account and click the Contact info tab.
  2. Under Email preferences, tick Send me krewe emails (announcements and messages from my lieutenant).
  3. Click Save preferences.

The unsubscribe-done page also has a link, “Changed your mind? Turn krewe emails back on in My Account.”, that takes you there.

If you’re riding in the parade, your lieutenant uses krewe emails to send float news, such as where to be and when. If you unsubscribe, you won’t get those either.

“This link isn’t valid”

If the unsubscribe link was cut off or mangled by your email app, you’ll see “This link isn’t valid”. Click Log in and change your email preferences in My Account instead.

Not getting any email at all?

Check your spam or junk folder first, and make sure the email address shown on your Contact info tab is right. If it’s wrong, ask the krewe to change it from the Support tab. If your address is right and nothing arrives, let the krewe know through the Support tab. Sometimes a mailbox that bounced messages in the past is blocked from krewe mail, and the krewe can look into it.
