Cancellations, refunds and store credit
How to change or cancel an order, what happens to your money, and how store credit works.
Once an order is placed, you can’t change or cancel it yourself, and nothing can be added to it. Your krewe’s store team handles changes. If you want more of something, place a new order.
Ask to cancel items
To cancel some or all of an order, contact your krewe from the Support tab in My Account. Include your order number (for example #42, shown on the Orders tab and in your “Order placed” email) and which items you want to cancel.
The krewe can only cancel items you haven’t collected yet. Whether they agree to a cancellation or refund is up to them.
What happens when items are cancelled
- The order total goes down by the price of the cancelled items. On the Orders tab the total shows the new amount with how much was cancelled underneath, and the items show Cancelled.
- If you’ve already paid more than the new total, the extra becomes store credit, unless the krewe refunds it.
- If every item is cancelled, the order’s status becomes Cancelled.
- You get an email with the subject “Order #N updated” showing what changed, the new total, any refund and your store credit.
Refunds to your card
The krewe can choose to send money back to the card you paid with instead of keeping it as credit. When they do, the “Order #N updated” email shows the amount under Refunded. Card refunds usually take several business days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank.
If you paid a partial payment fee at checkout, it isn’t refunded automatically when items are cancelled. Ask the krewe if you think it should be.
Store credit
When you have store credit, the Orders tab says so, for example “You have a $20.00 store credit for 2027.”
- Credit belongs to one season and is used automatically. It pays toward anything you owe on your store orders that season, oldest order first.
- Credit isn’t taken off at checkout. You pay for new orders as usual, and the credit then counts toward any balance left on them.
- If you’d rather have the money back, ask the krewe. They can refund credit to your card.
If an item sold out after you paid
Very occasionally two people buy the last of something at the same moment. If that happens to you, you’ll see “We received your payment but an item sold out — the krewe will contact you.” Your order shows Needs attention and its items Being sorted out by the krewe. You don’t need to do anything. The krewe will either:
- fill the order anyway, in which case it becomes a normal order and you get the “Order placed” email, or
- cancel it, in which case what you paid becomes store credit, or is refunded to your card if you ask.
Store orders are separate from dues and event tickets. To ask about a dues refund see Joining and dues, and for tickets see Events.
