Buy tickets or RSVP
Buy tickets to a paid event or RSVP to a free one, the limit per person, when sales close and what happens after you pay.
You buy tickets, or RSVP to free events, right on the Events page. You need to be signed in, and the event has to be open to you. See Find your krewe’s events.
Buy tickets to a paid event
- On the Events page, find the event.
- In the Tickets box, enter how many tickets you want.
- Click Buy tickets. You’ll see “Taking you to secure checkout…”.
- Pay by card on the secure payment page, run by Stripe, your krewe’s payment processor.
You’re brought back to the Events page. You may see “Payment received, confirming…” for a few seconds. When it’s done you’ll see “You’re going! We’ve emailed you your tickets.” with a See My tickets link.
Tickets are paid in full at checkout. There’s no paying in part and no extra fee: you pay the ticket price.
If you leave the payment page without paying, nothing is charged and no tickets are held for you.
RSVP to a free event
- Find the event. It shows “Free”.
- In the Tickets box, enter how many people are coming, including you.
- Click RSVP.
You’re confirmed on the spot: “You’re going! We’ve emailed you the details.”
Limits and closing times
- Limit per person. Your krewe can limit how many tickets one person may hold. The event shows “You have 2 of 4” once you’ve bought some. When you reach the limit, you’ll see “You have the most tickets you may buy for this event.” If you try to buy more than you’re allowed, you’ll see “That is more tickets than you may have for this event.”
- Buying more. If you’re under the limit, you can buy more later. Each purchase is separate and they all appear in My Tickets.
- Sales close. Your krewe sets a time when ticket sales stop, which can be before the event starts. After that the event shows Sales closed and you can’t buy. Once the event starts, it disappears from the page.
- Sold out. When every seat is taken the event shows Sold out. If someone grabs the last seats while you’re deciding, you’ll see “Sorry — this event is sold out.”
Seats aren’t held while you’re on the payment page. If you’re buying the last few tickets, finish paying quickly.
After you buy
- You get an email with the subject “Your tickets:” followed by the event name. It says when and where the event is, what you have (for example “2 tickets”) and what you paid, or “Free RSVP”. It’s your receipt; there’s no separate payment receipt for tickets.
- Your tickets are listed on the My Tickets tab in My Account. See My Tickets and your emails.
- You don’t need a paper ticket. At the door you show your check-in code or give your name. See Check in at the door.
If something goes wrong
- “Your payment is still being confirmed. It will show under My tickets shortly — you do not need to pay again.” Don’t pay a second time; check My Tickets in a few minutes.
- “This payment was not completed, so nothing was charged.” The payment didn’t go through. Try again.
- “We’re looking into your order — the krewe will be in touch.” Your payment arrived just after the event filled up. Your money is safe. The krewe will either confirm your tickets (you’ll get the “Your tickets” email) or cancel and refund them.
- “Online payments are not available right now. Please try again later.” The krewe’s card payments are switched off for the moment. Try later or contact the krewe.
